Setting up Tessitura with Tixel
Ticket authentication setup
These instructions cover what’s required to allow Tixel to authenticate Tessitura tickets that are listed for resale.
This setup:
- Enables secure ticket validation on Tixel
- Does not change how tickets are issued or managed in Tessitura
- Introduces no fan-facing or box office changes
What we need from you
1. Tessitura API URLs
Please provide the API endpoints for both your test and live (production) environments.
They usually follow this format:
- Test environment
https://XXXXXXXXXXXresttest.tnhs.cloud/TessituraService/
- Live / production environment
https://XXXXXXXXXXXrestprod.tnhs.cloud/TessituraService/
If you’re unsure which endpoints are correct, your Tessitura administrator should be able to confirm.
2. API user configuration
Please create a dedicated API user for Tixel so we can authenticate tickets via the Tessitura API.
User details
- Username:
tixeldev
- User Group:
Tixel
- Machine Name: Provided by you
- Location: Provided by you
- Password: Secure password of your choice
- API version: e.g.
v15
Required access
- CRM / WebLogins
- Txn / Orders
- Txn / Performances
- Web / Session
- Web / Cart
This access is used solely to validate tickets listed on Tixel. Tixel does not create, modify, or cancel orders in Tessitura.
3. Sample ticket and order confirmation
Please send:
- One example ticket (email with QR Code, Wallet Ticket, and any other formats that are sent when tickets are released)
- One example order confirmation email
Email these to events@tixel.com.
These examples help us confirm ticket formatting, barcodes, and any environment-specific quirks before tickets are listed by fans.
Finding Machine Name and Location in Tessitura
Where these fields appear depends on your Tessitura version.
Tessitura versions prior to v16
Machine Name and Location are visible in the legacy configuration view.

Tessitura v16 and later
Machine Name and Location are visible in the updated interface.

What happens after setup
Once access is in place and sample tickets are reviewed:
- Tixel confirms ticket authentication is working correctly
- Tickets from your Tessitura environment can be safely listed and validated on Tixel
If we identify any edge cases or environment-specific behaviour, we’ll flag them early so they don’t surface during live resale.
